CMA seeks physicians willing to talk about experiences with unconscious bias

August 23, 2022

On October 14, 2022, the Sutter Health Institute for Advancing Health Equity, California Medical Association, California Primary Care Association, and Physicians for a Health California will host a Health Equity Summit – focusing on unconscious bias in health care . The objective of the summit is to bring together stakeholders from all sectors to create dialogue, formulate recommendations for policy makers and other key stakeholders to advance the field and understand best practices identified and based on data to mitigate unconscious bias and set a standard for reducing unconscious bias within healthcare.

In preparation for this event, we are looking to speak with clinicians willing to share their experiences with unconscious bias.

Your responses will be used to develop a composite “clinician’s perspective and voice” that will be shared with program participants during and after the summit. It can consist of audio, video, photography and quotes. (Digital consent forms will be provided for review and signature.)

We understand that it can be difficult to talk about it and we thank you in advance for your willingness to share your personal experience.

If you are interested in participating, please fill out this form, we will contact you to schedule a 45 minute interview via Zoom.
